The average wind speed within the promising zone is approximately 6.0–8.0 m/s (at 100 m altitude).

2-2. Water Depth

Within the promising zone, approximately 57% of the area has a water depth of 40 m or less, approximately 85% is 50 m or less, and approximately 98% is 60 m or less.
The deepest point within the zone reaches approximately 78 m.

Based on the results of SSS (side-scan sonar) and acoustic surveys, exposed bedrock has been confirmed in coastal areas. According to the SSS data, the area ratio of sandy mud zones to exposed rock zones is approximately 2:1.
